Tour De Rosé at Balthazar

Enjoy a freewheeling summer at Balthazar, as we celebrate the Tour de France with our own epicurean tour of the country’s finest rosés from 27th June – 24th July. We will showcase a special rosé from four regions along the race route.

Team Balthazar’s first stop is the Loire Valley where the magnificent terroir at Domaine Sautereau has yielded a dreamy pink Sancerre Rosé (£35), full of the flavours of summer fruits and delicate citrus.

The next leg takes us south to Provence, past purple fields heady with the scent of lavender and vines heavy with grapes, to rest at Château d’Esclans. A bottle of the estate’s Whispering Angel (£35) makes for a heavenly pit stop.

Riding south along the Riviera coast, we arrive in the Languedoc to sample Gérard Bertrand’s Art de Vivre (£35), an ode to biodynamic viticulture and the beauty of the Mediterranean.

And finally, where better to finish our tour than the Champagne wine region? Here we toast team Balthazar with Moët & Chandon’s Rosé NV (£60), a pink Champagne juicy with red fruits and peach.

An indulgent Paris Brest dessert will hit the sweet spot with any of our limited-edition wines, making for a delightful finish and a fitting tribute to la vie en rosé.
