FLOWERBX Afternoon tea Autumn/Winter Edition

Following the immensely successful FLOWERBX Afternoon Tea this spring, we are proud to announce a second collaboration with the online flower delivery service. For the Autumn/Winter season we have launched a selection of cakes representing winter’s most exquisite blooms.

Available from Wednesday, 3 October, the winter edition of the Balthazar x FLOWERBX Afternoon Tea will see our Head Pastry Chef Régis Beauregard transform winter florals into cakes, with the expertise of FLOWERBX CEO, Whitney Bromberg Hawkings. Guests will enjoy cakes resembling winter’s seasonal flowers in beautiful FLOWERBX tones, these include:

Coconut and Yuzu Hydrangea
Yuzu mousse on a crunchy coconut biscuit decorated with delicate sugar petals

The Balthazar Rose
French financier filled with sweet raspberry jam and vanilla yogurt mousse

Blueberry Ranunculus
A light blueberry tart served with a sharp lemon posset and candied violet

Berry Macaron
Redcurrant and kirsch ‘petit gâteau’ (molten chocolate cake), with Chantilly icing and topped with an edible chocolate leaf

In addition to the cakes, a selection of traditional, freshly prepared finger sandwiches will be served, including cucumber, mint and homemade hummus; smoked salmon and lemon crème fraîche; and lobster prawn roll. Buttermilk scones with Devonshire clotted cream & homemade strawberry preserve, along with exquisite floral sweet treats, will follow.

Guests are also invited to toast their afternoon tea with The FLOWERBMB cocktail, a combination of rose, hibiscus & Blanquette created by Balthazar’s Head Bartender and industry great, Massimiliano Favaretto.

The Balthazar x FLOWERBX Afternoon Tea will be served from 3pm to 5.30pm Monday to Friday; 3pm to 5pm on Saturday; and 3pm to 6.30pm on Sunday (3pm to 5pm Monday to Sunday in December).  Prices start from £29.95 per person.
