Celebrate Halloween with us
From Monday 29th October to Sunday 4th November, we will mark the spookiest night of the year with our famous ‘Balthoween’ our all-American All Hallows’ Eve celebration.
For Halloween week, the outside of our Boulangerie will be transformed into a frighteningly fabulous Instagram wall adorned with pumpkins, skulls and other haunted spectacles. Stop by for a photo and pop inside for a coffee, cake or ghoulish goodie.
In the restaurant exclusively for the weeklong festivities, Pastry Chef Regis Beauregard has crafted the sinful ‘Balthobombe’ dessert (£8) available on the a la carte menu; a chocolate sphere disguised as a pumpkin, containing a smooth and airy chocolate mousse, served with a warm chocolate brownie topped with pecans. Next door, in the Boulangerie, guests can pop in to pick up homemade treats, including the famous whole spiced dinner party pumpkin and pecan pies, spiced macarons and pumpkin muffins, available to eat in or take away for Halloween parties from £1.50 each.
Our expert bar team has partnered with whiskey masters Maker’s Mark to create a hair-raising collection of Balthoween cocktails (£11 each). These include:
The Ginger Witch
Maker’s Mark, Amaro Montenegro, Frangelico, Caol Ila Moch whisky, both Angostura and aztec chocolate bitters, ginger ale
The Haunted Mark
Maker’s Mark, Campari, Galliano Ristretto coffee liqueur, orange bitters
The Vampire Kiss
Courvoisier VSOP, Tio Pepe Fino, lemon, egg white, Peychaud bitters
Each guest that dines on Wednesday 31st October will be able to tempt fate by playing Balthazar’s Trick or Treat game. Guests will flip a specially made Balthazar Trick or Treat coin; if it lands on ‘Treat’, guests will be given their first Balthoween cocktail on the house.
